100 Day!
We had a fun Friday in Room 203! It was the 100th day of kindergarten, so we celebrated all morning. Students wore their awesome 100 Day shirts and got to move around between classrooms doing all sorts of fun 100 related activities. There was a 100 pom pom relay, 100 second exercises, a bean bag toss for 100 points, building with 100 Lego, making 100 Day crowns, a snack with a 100 year old picture app, 1-0-0 art, 100 dot art, fill it up with 100 items, and a race to 100. It was a busy start, but we all ended up having a good time. I'd like to thank our room parents, plus those parents that donated items or food, and/or helped out. Emma's mom, Henry's mom, Rafa's mom, Sa'Daree's mom, and Wai Zin's mom and dad really did a great job leading activities and helping students find where they needed to go. Thank you SO MUCH!
Our afternoon included reviewing our sight words, poem, reading a 100 Day book, and celebrating Khyan's birthday. We also had art. We started a unit on shape by drawing space creatures. We will color them in next week. For Star of the Week, Emma told a fun joke. Then we wrote friendly letters to her. Finally, we cleaned up, packed up, and had some free Workshop time. We ended the day in P.E. and Music. Then we got our things and gave out prizes for twenty super star sticks.
Have a great weekend!
