Number Bonds

We had a quick Wednesday in Room 203. We spent our morning working on HWT, Reader's Workshop, and the letter "U." We finished up this round of Road to Reading with a final assessment of skills. After snack and recess, we went to Spanish. We learned more about weather with Sra. Colmenero.

After lunch, we reviewed sight words, "Little Boy Blue," read "Bear Snores On," and sang "Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear." In math, we continued our study of Number Bonds. We found ways to compose and decompose numbers to 6. By finding number pairs that build a number, we are making a connection to the addition and subtraction skills that come next. After some Workshop, we had Second Step. We talked about unsafe and unwanted touching. A home-link worksheet will give you more info should you want it. Then we packed up for home.
