More With Teeth

We had a great Thursday in Room 203. We began the day with our morning activities, plus searching for Zero Heroes. We learned a little about Jackie Robinson before we went to the Computer Lab to play LexiaCore5 games. When we got back, we read a book about teeth. We also counted how many primary teeth we have. After snack and recess, we had ELA Workshop. Students independently worked on "S" phonics and sentences. My group wrote about things that we love. The school has been promoting kindness this month, so it was cute to see the things that are most important to our students! We also visited a secret center.

After lunch, we reviewed sight words, recited "Simple Simon," and had Star  of the Week. Elise shared some nice family pictures and a favorite book, "The Gruffalo." The class liked them all. At Music, we kept a steady beat to an elephant poem with Mrs. Hansen. For math, we talked about more, fewer, and the same as we counted objects and added more to make them equal. In Spanish, we learned about kindness with Sra. Colmenero. To end the day, we had a snack party!  We had earned our tenth all-green day so we ate fruit snacks and watched a video about teeth and good dental practices. Then we packed up, reviewed homework, counted super star sticks, and lined up for home.

Don't forget to finish and check over homework for tomorrow! Please fill out and sign permission slips, too.
