Computer Lab and Some Projects...

We had a really good day in Room 203. We began our day with our morning activities. Billie got to read a book to the class since we ran out of time yesterday. After HWT, we went to the Computer Lab. We played more LexiCore5 skills games to boost student literacy. Remember that you can always play at home!  After snack, we went out for pictures and a quick recess. When we returned, we read "Q is for Quail" and chapter 1 of Billie's favorite book, "Junie B. Jones Is Captain Field Day." During ELA Workshop, students worked on initial sound identification, while my groups wrote a friendly letter to Billie, our Star of the Week. We also visited a secret center.

After lunch, we reviewed sight words, recited "Jack Be Nimble," and practiced some more phonics skills. At Music we had a substitute for Mrs. Hansen. She taught the class about our composer of the month. Back in Room 203, we painted a "frame" for a secret project we're starting. In Spanish, we learned more about fruits with Sra. Colmenero. To end the day, we had Star of the Week. Billie shared some cute pictures of her and her family. Then we packed up, reviewed homework, sang "Wake Up Toes," and lined up for home.

Don't forget to finish and check over homework packets for tomorrow!  Also, bring in any book orders if you're interested.
