The 100th Day of School

We had a fantastic 100th day of school this Wednesday in Room 2.  We began the day with Nutrition and our morning activities. Then we read "Miss Bindergarten Gets Ready for the 100th Day of Kindergarten." At language arts rotations, students made 100 necklaces by sewing ten groups of ten Froot Loops onto a string. They came out great!  My groups read "Can Nan?"and wrote what we would do with $100. The other groups had secret centers. After recess, we shared two more 100 Day book projects and had 100 day math. We identified and colored in odd numbers green and even numbers yellow to discover a mystery picture (It was a 100).

After lunch, we recited "Little Boy Blue" and shared the rest of our 100 Day book projects. Then we decorated and painted "100" glasses. Hopefully they made it home with the necklace today!  We also searched for and colored a Zero Hero picture. We enjoyed a special Zero Hero treat (a sugar-free red, white, and blue popsicle) before Star of the Week. Kaia read us a 100 Day book to the class. At P.E., Coach Angel had the class play several games of "Cone Battles." It was really fun!  In the library, Mrs. Singh read us two books, including one on 100 Day. We ended the day by taking a picture of the class in our 100 glasses and necklaces. Then we packed up, reviewed homework, and lined up for home.

Don't forget that our Ice Cream party is tomorrow!  If you're bringing cards or treats, be sure to have enough for all 24 students. Thanks!
