Super Star Sticks

We introduced a new reward for positive behavior today.  They're called Super Star Sticks!  Students earn them with good behavior, listening, effort, and being a good friend. When you collect 20, you trade them in for a prize!  The class seemed very excited about Super Star Sticks and we had a very good day. Let's keep it up!

As far as the rest of the day, we started with morning business and by reading "Dino-Football," Ethan's favorite book. At language arts rotations, we finished up Christmas Tree Guy (or Girl). We also wrote letters to Ethan and had secret centers.  After snack and recess, we introduced the idea of Super Star Sticks and worked on subtraction in math.

After lunch, we shared some Ethnicity Dolls. Then we did language mixing with room 10. My group wrote about what they like for lunch, shared with a friend, and sang some songs. For Star of the Week, Ethan shared some nice family pictures. At P.E., we couldn't use our regular space for a ball passing game, so we just ran a lap and had free play. When we got back, we did some dot painting for some top secret holiday gifts. To end the day, we shared more Ethnicity Dolls. We only have five more to share. If you want to check them out, I'll post pictures of them all over the weekend, or you stop by before or after school.

Don't forget to finish up homework packets for tomorrow!
