Question Sentences

A quick day in Room 2 today.  We started with our morning business (including a really quick phonetic alphabet). We read "The Quiet Quail" and came up with a few "Q" words. For rotations, we worked on a "Q" phonics page and again tried writing some question sentences on the back. Several students did a GREAT job, as you can see!  At my table, we did "Q" handwriting and finished up some holiday projects. The other groups had secret centers. After snack and recess, we went to the Tech Lab. Mr. Riko had us go to abcya.com and play a typing cupstacking game. When the students passed the game, they got to choose their own game for the rest of class.

After lunch, we had Star  of the Week. Finn shared a lot of cool toys, including Bananas the monkey, a walking Godzilla figure, and a blue snake. We mixed with Mr. Duffy's class next. My group reread "The Gingerbread Man" and wrote sentences to match our sequencing activity from yesterday.  When we finished, we met Mr. Bassett's fourth grades for Reading Buddies. We finished up our stories from last week. Then we packed up for home.

Three more things:

1.  If your Reading Log/Book Report page in your homework is missing the Book Report, please let me know so I can replace it.

2.  Don't forget that tomorrow is our 2:00 music performance in Room 2. We will be coming from P.E., so if you arrive early, you may wait in the room. We will be there close to 1:55.

3.  Lastly, if you want your child to look more festive for the performance, Ms. Ingram suggested wearing (or bringing) a scarf or winter hat.
