Writing

We had a productive Thursday in Room 2. We began the day with Nutrition and a short version of our morning activities. At language arts rotations, students wrote a friendly letter to Abby, our Star of the Week. I had a meeting to attend, so Miss Esther helped with my groups for awhile. Those groups wrote about their favorite insect in their kindergarten journals. The other groups had secret centers. After recess, we practiced sight words, recited "It's Raining," and had math. We worked on mastering left and right. Keep practicing at home!

After lunch, we practiced our culmination song, and had art. We finished up some Mother's Day projects. It took awhile, but they are ready to go home tomorrow. For Star of the Week, Abby shared some nice family pictures. After P.E. on the kindergarten yard, Jayden shared his animal report & diorama on the whale shark. Then we packed up and lined up for home.
