Octopus

We had a great Tuesday back in Room 2. We began the day by collecting Friday Folders and having Nutrition outside. Then we took care of our morning activities together. Next, we went to the auditorium to practice our culmination songs with Ms. Genut's class. We will practice some more tomorrow. When we got back, we read "The Rainbow Fish to the Rescue." At language arts rotations, students worked on sequencing "The Rainbow Fish," along with coloring, cutting, and pasting the pictures.   My groups worked on Father's Day presents. The other groups had secret centers. After recess, we recited "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" and finished our rotations.

After lunch, we learned about telling time. We made our own analog clocks and practiced telling time to the hour and half hour. Please practice these skills at home!  We also cut out the sharks we painted last week. Then we had P.E. on the kindergarten yard. When we came in, we read "Octopus Under the Sea" and made an octopus. Students decorated one using crayons and then watercolors. They look cool!  To end the day, our Tech Lab teacher Mr. Scott invited us outside for an end of the year treat. Students got a cupcake to enjoy. Then we packed up, passed out homework folders, and lined up for home. Let's have a great week!

Be sure to read over The Ricker Report today. There is no homework assigned, unless your child hasn't turned in yearbook surveys from last week. If that's the case, turn them in ASAP!  Also, remember that our culmination ceremony is Friday at 1:15 P.M. in the auditorium. We hope to see everyone there!
