"Buffalo Hides"

We had a fun Tuesday in Room 2. We began the day with Nutrition and our morning activities. Then we read "Monkey's Miserable Monday" and came up with some more "M" words. At language arts rotations, students worked on "M" phonics and sentences. My groups wrote about turkeys and made a Thanksgiving mini-book.  The other groups had secret centers. After recess, we went to the Tech Lab. Ms. Castro had the class make digital mosaics at Wixie.com. They looked cool!  When we got back to the room, we recited "Little Miss Muffet," did some rhyming, and reviewed our sight words for the week.

After lunch, Pierra shared her PTA Reflections project. It was great!  Be sure to turn them in by Thursday if you're participating. Then we read "The First Thanksgiving." Our follow-up project was to decorate a 'buffalo hide" using oil pastels and the Native American picture dictionary we saw last week.  For Star of the Week, Daniel shared some cool toys, including his transforming cars (I think from a show called Tobot) and a memory game. We ended the day with our Reading Buddies from Room 19. Then we packed up, reviewed homework, and lined up for home.
