100 Day Book Projects
We had a great Tuesday in Room 203. We began the day with our morning activities on this, the 99th day of school. We read "The Quiet Quail," brainstormed more "Q" words, and decorated a "100" picture before having Road to Reading. Then we shared some more of our 100 Day Book projects. We did a really nice job! Next we had snack and recess, although it was cut a little short when the rain started. Then we read "100 Days of School" and had ELA Workshop. Students worked independently on "Q" words and sentences, while my groups wrote what they would do with 100 dollars. We also visited a secret center.
After indoor lunch, we reviewed sight words, recited "Jack Be Nimble," and made 100 Day glasses with crayons and watercolors for tomorrow. They look cool! Then we had our Tuesday block of specials. We read a story and checked out a book with Mr. Withers. We learned about "frutas" in Spanish with Sra. Colmenero. And we played games using a basketball in P.E. with Mr. Simatic. When we got back to Room 203, we had Star of the Week. We reviewed what we know about Billie before she shared some neat toys. She shared a Lego plane, a real micro-bean plant, and a beautiful jewelry box. The class liked them a lot! After we packed up and reviewed homework, we ended the day sharing three more 100 Day Books. Then we lined up for home.
Tomorrow is our 100 Day Celebration. It should be a lot of fun!
