All About Me

We had a good day today in Room 2. We began our Monday collecting "All About Me" books and with Nutrition. Then we took care of morning activities and read "Hide and Seek Hippo." At language arts rotations, students worked on an "H" phonics page. My groups read "We Can See!" and practiced neat "H" handwriting. The other groups had secret centers. After recess, we had Tech Lab. Mr. Scott had the class work on counting games, including "Birthday Calendar Count," "Connect and Count," and "Numerical Order." When we got back to the room, we recited "Pease Porridge Hot," and shared some "All About Me" books. They're great!

After lunch, we shared more "All About Me" books. Then we had math. We compared numbers to 10. We shared a couple more "All About Me" books next. After a quick break, we had "Star of the Week." I shared some of my favorite toys. We ended the day with Reading Buddies. We shared our "All About Me" books with our friends from Room 19, as well as looked at some other stories. Then we packed, put up our chairs, reviewed homework, and lined up for home!

We're sharing more (hopefully, all) of our "All About Me" books tomorrow. Then we will put them up for display for everyone to see!
