A Day With Mr. Winters

Mr. Ricker was out on Wednesday. Mr. Winters was our substitute for the day. The plan for the day was to have Nutrition and morning business. Then we should have read "It's Pumpkin Time!" For language arts rotations, students sequenced the life cycle of a pumpkin. Mr. Winters' groups wrote about pumpkins in their kindergarten journals. The other groups had secret centers. After recess, we had math. We started Topic 5 by counting, building, and writing 11 and 12.

After lunch, we planned on having science. We made a cut out model of the Earth showing both the outside in inside of the Earth. They are really cool! For Star of the Week, Stella was going to share her favorite book, "Penny." Then after a short snack and recess, we ended the day having P.E. with Coach Angel and library with Mrs. Singh. I hope that it was a good day!

Don't forget that Thursday is our Theater performance with Ms. Nichols at 12:00 noon in the auditorium!
