Seeds! Seeds! Seeds!

It was Friday in Room 203.  We spent our morning writing letters to Nora, our Star of the Week. We also had Reader's Workshop. We looked at more non-fiction stories, reviewed sight words, and recited "Yankee Doodle." After snack and recess, we had Writer's Workshop. We continued our "How-To" stories on making a sandwich.

After lunch, we had a quick review in math on number bonds. Then we read "Seeds! Seeds! Seeds!" and made some seed art. We took the seeds we glued onto paper earlier in the week and drew roots down, stems up, and added leaves and flowers. We also used watercolors to make  a cool picture. We ended the day playing scooter games in P.E. and singing songs in Music. Then we packed up Friday Folders, read our letters to Nora, and lined up for home.
