A is for Art, Ant, and Assessment

We had an arty day in Room 203. It was the first day of the ABC Countdown on Thursday. Mrs. Callahan was our substitute while Mr. Ricker administered BAS testing most of the day. We started the day reading a book on ants and then having Ant Art by coloring, cutting, and pasting an ant together. Next we had Reader's Workshop. After snack and recess, the class reviewed sight words, recited "Come to My Window," and read "The Very Grouchy Ladybug."

After lunch, the class had math. We worked on decomposing 9 and writing subtraction sentences. We also finished our cool fingerprint ladybug art project from yesterday by using markers to add the head, legs, dots, and antennae. We ended the day in Art with Ms. Sundquist. Then we packed up our things for home.

Be sure to finish and check over homework for Friday!  Also, tomorrow is "B is for Ball" in the ABC Countdown, so bring in a ball to play with and share!
