More With "Ch"

We had a quick day in Room 203. We spent our morning reading "Good Morning Chick!" and working on more "ch" phonics. We also looked at copycat poetry in Reader's Workshop. We wrote a copycat poem together called "The Itsy Bitsy Beetle." It's fun! After Road to Reading, we had snack and recess. We ended the morning learning about the rain forest in Spanish with Sra. Colmenero.

After lunch, we had Star of the Week. We reviewed what we know about Paul and he shared his favorite book ("Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus!"). The class enjoys that book quite a bit!  In math, we worked on counting and making word problems with 9 and 10 using five-group drawings. We ended the day with Second Step. Mrs. Sweeney and I led a lesson on Handling Getting Knocked Down. Then we packed up, reviewed homework, and lined up for home
