Ladybugs!

We had a fun Friday in Room 203. We spent our morning with Reader's Workshop and with Star of the Week. Rafa shared his family pictures and a joke before we wrote him a friendly letter. We also read a book on ladybugs before having Road to Reading. In our ABC Countdown, it was B is for Ball. We took our balls out for snack and recess. When we came back, we reviewed our 105 sight words, recited "Bedtime," and read "Ladybugs: Red Fiery, and Bright." We also worked in our HWT workbook.

After lunch, we read "The Ladybug Life Cycle" and made a ladybug. We used constriction paper, glue, and a brass fastener to make a cool looking insect with 6 legs, 2 antennae, and some dots. We went back out for some more ball playing time with a friend before ending the day in P.E. and Music. Before we left, we packed up and awarded prizes for twenty super star sticks. Don't forget that the Beye Fun Fair is Saturday from 11:00 A.M.-3:00 P.M. Also, Monday will be C is for Cubs and Sox. Wear your favorite sports team!
