Pigs!
We had a mismatched day in Room 203. We began the day with our morning activities and some mismatched students. It was "M is for Mismatched" in our A to Z Countdown, so there were several silly socks, ties, ponytails, shirts, and other clothes that didn't quite match today. We also read "The Little Ducklings" and drew a mismatched picture. For Star of the Week, Rocco shared some nice family photos with the class. Next, we had ELA Workshop. My groups wrote a friendly letter to Rocco, our Star of the Week, At independent tables, students made a nice pink pig in the mud. They look cute! We also went to the last secret center of this rotation. After snack and recess, we went to the auditorium to rehearse for the Three Piggy Opera. Our class did our best job so far! Don't forget the show is next Wednesday!
After lunch, we had math. We decomposed ten and made number bonds using cubes. After a break, we wrote number sentences using the numbers from a word problem or story. We also played a math game with a friend. After Spanish with Sra. Colmenero, we packed up for home. There was a lockdown drill to end the day, so we practiced just in case. We did a nice job! Then we counted sticks, reviewed homework, and lined up for home.
Don't forget to finish and check over homework packets for Friday!
