The Letter G

We had a pleasant Monday back in Room 203. We began the day by collecting Friday Folders and taking care of our morning activities, which include sorting lunches, the Pledge and Beye Laws, calendar, our new poem, the alphabet song, vowel song, phonetic alphabet, and morning exercises. After sharing what we did this weekend, HWT and Road to Reading, we read introduced our letter of the week and read"My 'G' Book." We also brainstormed "G" words and used crayons, glue, and glitter to make the tactile page "Glitter on 'G's on a Goldfish. After snack and recess, we went to Art with Ms. Sundquist. She read a book about lines called "The Straight Line Wonder" and had the class paint a lot of lines. They will turn their two-dimensional lines into three-dimensional lines next week.

After lunch, we recited our new poem "Mary, Mary, Quite Contrary" and reviewed phonics skills. In Music, we had a substitute teacher and watched a video showcasing music and dance. When we got back, we had math. We worked on counting 4-6 objects in circular or scattered configurations. We also practices writing the numbers to 6. To end the day, we went to the Computer Lab. We worked on LexiaCore5 learning games. Has anyone tried some at home? Then we passed out homework, packed up, and lined up for home.

Don't forget those library books tomorrow!  Also, be sure to look over homework packets for the week. Our field trip is this Wednesday, weather permitting. If you need a sack lunch from the cafeteria, be sure to let me or Mrs. Redmond know ASAP. Thanks! Let's have a great week!
