More with X and Tech Lab
We had another fast Tuesday in Room 2. We began the day with Nutrition and our morning activities. Then we read "A Xylophone for X-Ray Fish" and came up with more words that contain an "x." At language arts rotations, students worked on "X" phonics and sentences. My groups wrote about our neighborhood in our kindergarten journals. The other groups had their last secret center of this rotation. After recess, we went to the Tech Lab. Mr. Scott had the class play more games to help with our keyboarding. They included "Home Keys Kennys" and "Keyboard Climber." You can try them at home by going to PlanetBravo.com/ThirdStreet. When we got back to Room 2, we reviewed our sight words, recited "Baa, Baa, Black Sheep," sounded out words on the board, and sang "Apples and Bananas" to go over vowel sounds.
After lunch, Alexander read us the book "Put Me in the Zoo." Then we worked on our neighborhood pictures from yesterday. When we were finished, we had Star of the Week. Dylan brought in three toys to share: Baymax, Snap Shot, and Food Fight. The class liked them all! Mr. Bassett requested "Playing Buddies" today, so we went out to the big yard for some recess with our reading buddies. Then we packed up, reviewed our homework, and lined up for home!
