More with Z
A quick Tuesday today in Room 2. We started with morning business before reading "Zack the Lazy Zebra" and brainstorming "Z" words. For language arts rotations, students worked on a "Z" phonics page and then wrote "Z" sentences. After snack and recess, we had Tech Lab. Mr. Riko had the class use TuxPaint to illustrate and label different types of weather. When we got back to the class, we recited "This Little Piggie" and did some rhyming.
After lunch, we read "A Sunny Day" and practiced our sight words. For math, we worked on comparing height. The class put objects in order from shortest to tallest before circling the tallest and "X-ing" the shortest. Next we had Star of the Week. Mia shared some cool toys-and American Girl doll, and Elsa doll, a cat, a Cinderella computer, a camera, and a mermaid! We decided to have "Play Buddies" today with Mr. Bassett's class since many of the fourth graders were in rehearsal for their play. Then we packed up and headed for home!
