More with "Sh" and Reading Buddies

We had another quick Tuesday today in Room 2. We started with morning business and read "Shelly's New Shoes." Then we brainstormed more "sh" words. For language arts rotations, students completed a "sh" cut and paste page and wrote sentences with "sh" words. My groups wrote about what they've learned in kindergarten in our journal. The other groups had secret centers. After snack and recess, we went to the Tech Lab. Mr. Riko had the class play typing games at abcya.com. When we got back, we recited "Come to the Window" and did some rhyming.

After lunch, we read "Gilberto and the Wind" and discussed the good and bad things the wind can do. Then we worked on the first part of a plant project for Open House by painting some plant parts. For Star of the Week, Quinn shared some cool toys, like a Spider-Man car, four birds, a spinning top, and some cars. To end the day, we went to Room 19 and read some books with our Reading Buddies. When we got back, we packed up and lined up for home.
