Prisms

We had another good day in Room 2! We began our Tuesday with morning activities. Then we read "Bubble Bear" and brainstormed some more "B" words. At langauge arts rotations, students did a cut and paste "B" phonics page. My groups read "I" and did some "B" handwriting. The other groups had secret centers. After snack and recess, we recited "Three Men in a Tub" and had math. We reviewed Topic 1 on numbers one to five. We will test tomorrow.

After lunch, we read "Color Dance" and sang "Wake Up Toes." Then we had a science experiment using prisms. Students worked with a partner outside to shine sunlight through a prism and observe the results. We learned that the light bends and looks like a rainbow coming out of the prism. Then we came in and made a picture showing what happened using paper and oil pastels. They look pretty cool!  We had a short P.E. on the big yard with bouncy balls before packing up our things for home.
