More with A

We had a short Tuesday in Room 2. We began our day with calendar and morning activities before we read "The Adventures of Abby Alligator." At language arts rotations, students identified words that had the "short a" sound. My groups worked on "A" handwriting and words. The other groups had their first secret center. After snack and recess, we recited "Ring Around the Rosies" and had math. We worked on writing and identifying the numbers 1, 2, and 3.

After lunch, we sang "Wake Up Toes" and had some circle time. Students shared their name, favorite shape, and favorite animal with the class. Then we had a partner project. We worked on a shape picture and had choose time with a partner. To end the day, we went out to the big yard for P.E. When we got back, we got our things, reviewed homework, and lined up for home since it was an early dismissal day.
