The Letter C

We welcomed three new students into our class today. Iris, William, and Yetunde. They joined us  from Mr. Garrison's room 11. We look forward to having them be a part of our class!

As far as our Tuesday goes, we focused on the letter "C" today. We read "My C Book" and made a picture of "Cotton on Cs on a Cloud." We finished our last day of secret centers (they change tomorrow) before snack. After recess, we went to the Tech Lab with Mr. Riko and played two games: Alphabet Matching and Counting Fish. They helped us work on recognizing our letters and improving counting skills. They were fun!

After lunch, we read a story about family and discussed members of our family, respect, cooperation, and chores. We moved onto math and learned about the number zero. We were in a bit of a rush to finish art. We tried to make a line print, but had a few difficulties along the way. We'll check on them tomorrow and make sure they came out okay. That made us few minutes late cleaning up and passing out our homework before the 1:30 dismissal time. We'll make sure to be on time tomorrow!
