All About Flat Shapes

We had  a good Tuesday in Room 203. We began the day with our morning activities, HWT, and Road to Reading. For Writer's Workshop, we talked about using a checklist to make sure that our stories are complete. Then we started another new true story by drawing pictures and writing words, sentences, and speech bubbles. We will continue them tomorrow. After snack and indoor recess, we read "The Gingerbread Man" and had ELA Workshop. Students worked on coloring the parts of "The Gingerbread Man." My groups read "I Like" and worked on "All About Flat Shapes" mini-books. We also visited a secret center.

After lunch, we looked for Zero Heroes, read a holiday book, and reviewed solid shapes. In the library, we read a story with Mr. Withers and checked out a new book. In Spanish, we learned animals and sounds with Sra. Colmenero. In P.E., we played a new game, Exercise Tag, with Mr. Simatic. Our Reading Buddies canceled, so we ended the day by finishing our "All About Flat Shapes mini-books, cleaning up, and packing up for home.
