Freight Train

Last week, we spent some time learning about and reviewing colors. We did some color matching, made a stoplight, and more.  My favorite activity was when we read a story the story "Freight Train" by Donald Crews. It tells about a freight train and all of the cars attached to it, each of which is a different color. Students then used a sentence strip as a train track and used colored paper to recreate the freight train. As you can see, they came out great! We will learn more about colors, as well as shapes, this week.
