Holiday Wreaths

We had a quick last day before Winter Break.  We began our Friday by collecting homework and having Nutrition. After morning activities, we read "Careful, Santa." We didn't have language arts rotations because of the shortened day, so we worked on whole group art. We made holiday wreaths using green paint and red bows. When we were done, we worked on subtraction practice using counters. After recess, we recited "Jack Be Nimble," sang "Apples and Bananas," and reviewed our sight words. We also passed out Friday Folders, packed up our holiday gifts, and gave out prizes and green certificates.

After lunch, we had a popcorn party! We ate a cup of popcorn while watching "The Magic School Bus: Inside Ralphie." When we were done, we read "The Night Before Christmas" and got our end of the year presents before lining up for home.  Have a great Winter Break!
