Winter Music Performance
We had a very musical day today in Room 2! We started by reading "Q is for Quail" and one of Finn's books "Bone Dog" this morning. At language arts centers, we worked on another "Q" phonics page to go with writing more question sentences. It's nice to see so many students try their best when writing! At my table, we read "I Like, We Like" and wrote a letter to our Star of the Week, Finn. The other two groups finished their last secret center of this rotation. After snack and recess, we recited "Jack Be Nimble" and practiced our winter songs. Then we used to cubes to subtract from 5, 6, and 7.
After lunch, Ms. Ingram stopped by to rehearse and coordinate how we would perform in the room. Then we worked on some holiday cards. Finn shared a very silly book called "You Can't Go to School Naked!" for Star of the Week. The class thought it was hilarious. We went out for P.E. and were interrupted by a fire drill. Fortunately, Coach Angel set up hockey afterwards so we didn't miss out. When we came back to the class, there were so many parents waiting for our performance. It was nice to see such an amazing turnout! To end our day, Ms. Ingram led the class through three winter songs, plus the "Winter Pokey." I was impressed by the number of you willing to join in. Thanks for being so much fun, as well as supportive for your child!
