Ethnicity Dolls
Our Ethnicity Dolls were due and the class spent much of the day sharing them today. As far as the rest of the day goes, we still started with our regular morning business and rotations, with students completing a "P" phonics page. My groups wrote in they journals about the food groups. The other groups had secret centers. After snack and recess, we shared some Ethnicity Dolls and had math. We talked about "take away" and did some subtraction problems.
After lunch, we shared more Ethnicity Dolls. Then we started an art project. Students will finish "Christmas Tree Guy (or Girl)" tomorrow. For Star of the Week, Ethan shared the book "Tuesday." The class thought it was very funny. We had Music with Ms. Ingram next. She had the class practice our holiday songs for next week. We had P.E. after that. Coach Angel taught the class a game called "Space Invaders" where they raced to collect items. When we got back to room 2, we shared some more Ethnicity Dolls. We didn't get to everyone today, but we will try to finish tomorrow and Friday. So far, they look wonderful! I'll be hanging them in class for you to see as soon as each child shares them with the class.
