More with N, Tech Lab, and Reading Buddies

Another quick and fun Tuesday in Room 2. After morning business, we read the book "The Nicest Newt." We followed that up during rotations by doing an "N" phonics page and writing sentences. At my table, we read "I See Sam" and practiced "N" handwriting. Other groups had secret centers. After snack and recess, we had Tech Lab. Mr. Riko had students use TuxPaint to make a turkey picture. When we got back, we recited "Little Nut Tree" and did some rhyming before lunch.

In the afternoon, we read "Look! I Can Read" and had math. We used unifix cubes to join numbers. Student seem to be doing very well with addition so far. Keep it up!  We had Star of the Week next. Callum shared a bunch of toys, including a dream light, thunder tube, a spider, ping pong equipment, and more! To end the day, we had reading buddies with room 19. We finished the stories we wrote two weeks ago and drew a picture using colored pencils. Then we came back to the room, packed up, and lined up for home!
