We've been studying Geometry in math. We spent last week looking at plane (flat) shapes. This week, we've spent time identifying and drawing solid shapes. We introduced the idea of vertices, or corners, today. To help students better visualize how many corners a solid shape has, we made a cube and pyramid using toothpicks and marshmallows. It made seeing and counting the vertices much easier. And it's delicious, too!
