Expository Writing

As mentioned earlier, we are working very hard to improve our writing this year.  We have begun crafting topic sentences and using ordering words (First, Second, Third, etc.) to better our paragraphs. Last week we used a Flow Map to prewrite some expository writing. This week, we used it to write our final draft of "How to Make a Snack." Students did a nice job ordering their steps and adding a conclusion sentence.  I've posted the stories in room 36 if you'd like to check them out!
