More With Colors

We had a colorful day in Room 203. We spent our morning reading books about colors and matching them to the correct color words. Being able to identify color words will help us a lot during the year. We also worked on the alphabet, some phonics, and practiced "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star." We played more "Red Light, Green Light" at PEA, too. The other exciting event was a bus drill: we boarded a bus and learned the rules when riding on the bus. We will get a refresher before our first riding field trip!

After lunch, we worked on number fluency and identifying objects that were the same, but... a little different. We also solved some more science riddles before using color paddles to "mix" colors. We used red, yellow, and blue paddles to create orange, purple, and green. We ended the day with Art. Ms. Sundquist had the class work more with lines. Then we packed up for home.

Don't forget  to check over (and finish if you need to) homework packets for the week. Send them in the green folder for Friday.
