Kindergarten Culmination

We had a fantastic Friday in Room 2. Even though we t was culmination day, we tried to keep a normal schedule for most of the the morning. We began with Nutrition and our morning activities, including read "The Big Red Barn." At language arts rotations, students wrote a thank you letter to Miss Castro, our Technology teacher. My groups read Sam and Mat book #13. Only one more to go!  The other groups got free choice secret centers. After recess, we practiced our songs for culmination one more time in the auditorium.

After lunch, we read "Make Way for Ducklings" and "It's Graduation Day!" and packed up our Friday Folders and things for home. Then we watched a Magic School Bus video called "In the City" about city critters. It got us calm before our big performance. At 1:00, we made our way to the auditorium for the Kindergarten Culmination. We sang "The World is a Rainbow," "The Kindergarten Medley," "Surfin' Safari," and "First Grade, First Grade." The class did a super job!  Next, we presented diplomas to students and took a lot of pictures. When we were done, we headed back to Room 2 for some light refreshments, more pictures, and a lot of smiles. What a great day!  I hope that everyone had a memorable culmination. Have a wonderful weekend!

Remember that we have a regular 2:30 day on Monday, but 12:35 dismissals on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday next week.
