Guest Reader

We had a super Friday in Room 203. We started our morning working on handwriting. We made "L"s and "U"s in our HWT workbooks. Next we celebrated our super powers during Reader's Workshop. We even picked our favorite power. We also read "The Hat" for read aloud. After Road to Reading, we had snack and recess. When we returned, we had Writer's Workshop. We wrote sentences to go with our pictures stories from yesterday. It seemed easier today. We are definitely improving!

After lunch, we had a guest reader. Bennett's mom visited and read us "The Gruffalo." It was a fun story!  We took our math time to finish up our writing since we were on such a roll. We also reviewed sight words, recited "Little Miss Muffet," and sang our holiday song. We ended the day with P.E. and Music. Mr. Simatic set up a cool obstacle coarse for P.E. We sang more fun songs with Mrs. Karia in Music. Then we packed up Friday Folders and gave out prizes for twenty super star sticks. Bennett also gave everyone a special treat because it was his birthday yesterday. Have a great weekend!
