A Very "Special" Day
We had a very "special" day in Room 203. Our library time was shifted, so we visited with a lot of teachers during our day. We started our morning learning about the letter "M." We read "M is for Moose" and practiced our "M" handwriting and sentences. Next, we were visited by Mrs. Fogg's fifth grade class for Reading Buddies. We looked at books and talked with friends. After reviewing some reading skills and having Workshop, we had Road to Reading. Then we had snack and recess. We ended our morning by sharing Kennedy's and Avery's Culture Dolls, which are due tomorrow, and reading Time for Kids, which was about animal helpers.
After lunch, we started our afternoon specials by going to the library. We read a story and checked our new books with Mr. Withers and Mrs. Frost. When we returned, we reviewed sight words, recited "Little Miss Muffet," and sang a holiday song. In math, we looked for object that were shorter. We ended our day by going to Music and Spanish. Then we packed up, reviewed homework, and lined up for home.
Be sure to finish and practice reading and sharing Culture Doll projects for tomorrow!
