Butterfly!

Our first butterfly emerged from its chrysalis! Students got very excited when it happened. The butterfly dried its wings and flew around a little afterward. It has been relatively still in our butterfly "garden,"  preferring to crawl more than fly. We're hoping that the other four emerge soon, so that we may set them all free to enjoy the outdoors. Students have been very kind to bring leaves, flowers, and even fruit to put in the netting, while I provide the sugar water and some oranges to eat. We'll keep you updated on any more activity this week!
