Animal Report & Diorama Projects
As a culminating activity for "Nature Watch," our Treasures reading unit, students in room 36 were assigned to create an Animal Report & Diorama. Projects were due today, although six of our students turned them in early. Each child was asked to research a wild animal, write a ten sentence (or more) report that included a topic sentence and conclusion, make a diorama showing the animal in it's natural habitat, and then read and present their project to the class. I'm happy to say that we did very well. Most students came prepared, read confidently, and were able to answer questions about their animal. The dioramas look great, too! I'll post some pictures here, but please stop by and check them out!
