Field Trip to the Field Museum

Room 104 took a field trip to the Field Museum on Tuesday. We were a bit concerned about the cold weather, but we soldiered on!  It ended up being a blessing because there were a lot less people in the museum and the traffic home was remarkably better.

Students got a chance to tour the Field Museum and see dinosaurs (including Maximo and Sue), fossils, animals, plants, rocks and minerals, artifacts from the Americas and Africa, and more. We ended our trip by watching the movie "Waking the T-Rex: The Story of Sue." It was a great day!  Special thanks to our parent chaperones that had to deal with a lot of cold weather and last minute clearances. Thank you: Bea's dad,  Jessamyn's dad, Allegra's mom, Aaliyah's dad, Rocco's dad, Penny's dad, and Zach's mom (who went with Mrs. Mabry's class)! We appreciate your help!
