A Fun Day Two!

We had a fun and busy day two in kindergarten. After unpacking and taking care of lunch and attendance procedures, we read "Time for School, Mouse." At 8:15, our grade participated in PBIS Rotations to get introduced to various locations of the school. Teachers and administrators let the class know what behaviors and expectations we have in the hallway, lunchroom, playground, bathroom, auditorium, and library. It was a lot to take in, and Room 203 did an amazing job!  When we got back to our room, we had a well deserved snack and indoor recess (because of the rain). We also updated our calendar, sang the ABC song, had some circle time to learn more about each other, and started a self portrait that we will finish tomorrow.

After lunch, we shared and read "Tiptoe Into Kindergarten." Then we went to library with Mr. Withers for the first time. He said that students will get to check out books next week. Next, we went to Spanish with Sra. Colmenero. Students made and brought home a project with her today. Finally, we went to P.E. with Mr. Simatic. The class got a chance to run and play in the gym. When we got back to Room 203, we packed up, got a few minutes of free choice time, played "Mr. Ricker Says," and lined up for home. Great job everyone!  I'll see you again tomorrow!
