The Beye Olympics
We had a fantastic day in Room 203. We held the Beye Olympics! We started the day quickly by taking care of morning activities and having Star of the Week. Zach told two funny jokes before we shared the letters we wrote him yesterday. Then we joined our Olympic teams. Our class was spread out amongst the different countries, so we all had our own experience. Indoor teams went on a climbing wall, played "Keep it up" with a large ball, had an Olympic circle relay, were timed putting together puzzles, played charades, had a hippity hop relay, held a group word find, tried a ball toss, had a snack break, and bowled. Outdoor groups ran an obstacle course, threw a football as far as they could, had a bean bag toss, ran a base relay, had a basketball dribbling relay, tossed frisbees at a target, watched their team captain try and blow a big bubble, had a snack break, had a team hula hop, and made a standing long jump.
After lunch, we tried the games we didn't try in the morning. Indoor groups went outside, and outside groups came inside. It was a lot of fun! When we finished, we picked our favorite event before packing up for home. Then we passed out prizes for twenty super star sticks, and lined up for home. Have a great weekend!
