Tech Lab and Reading Buddies

We had a nice Tuesday in Room 2. We began the day with Nutrition and our morning activities. We read "The Nicest Newt" and came up with more words that start with "N." At language arts rotations, students worked on "n" phonics and sentences. My groups took the chapter 4 math test and worked on a special holiday project. The other groups had secret centers. After recess, we went to the Tech Lab. Ms. Castro had the class work on making pictures that matched shapes or stamps to numbers using Wixie. We also learned how to copy images. When we got back to Room 2, we reviewed our sight words, recited "Little Nut Tree," and did some rhyming.

After lunch, we reviewed some reading skills and had math. We listened to and illustrated addition stories using counters and crayons. For Star of the Week, Summer shared some cute toys. She had a heart pencil, a glowing amulet, a top, some little bunnies, a Barbie computer, and a "Frozen" pencil case with twist crayons!  To end the day, we had Reading Buddies with Room 19. We looked at books with our fourth grade friends. Then we packed up, reviewed homework, sang "Happy Birthday" to CJ, and lined up for home.
