Theater Thursday

We had a fast and fun Thursday. Our morning seemed like a blur as we worked in our journals, at secret centers, and on a picture of our family. After snack and recess, we met three students who will be joining our class on Tuesday: Iris, William, and Yetunde. We included them in storytime and with a partner coloring project. After lunch, we met Ms. Nichols, our Theater teacher. Students learned her rules and about space bubbles before acting like spiders and trees. Then they incorporated those characters into a retelling of "Little Miss Muffet." Ms. Nichols focused on projecting your voice onstage, facing your audience, and having fun. I think that the class did! When we got back, we had a short P.E. on the kindergarten yard (it was hot out there) and watched a movie with Mr. Duffy's class in our air conditioned bliss. Not a bad day at all. Remember that there is no school tomorrow. Have a great four-day weekend!
