The Last Day of Kindergarten...

We had a great last day of kindergarten in Room 203. We began the day by reading "Miss Bindergarten Celebrates the Last Day of Kindergarten" and sharing our memory books. Each student should have one that made it home to remember our year together. After singing an end of the year kindergarten medley of songs, we cleaned up a little and had a snack and a short recess. When we got back, we gave out awards and prizes to students. Everyone got at least one award for finishing kindergarten, but we also had some for attendance, green behavior, and for LexiaCore5 progress.

Next, we went outside to have our kindergarten block party!  We spent our time with art projects, facepainting, playing, and eating. It was a nice day to have together to end our year. I'd like to thank our great parent turnout, too. I hope that you had fun!

After packing up and heading in, we read "Twas the Night Before Summer Vacation" and then went to see the teachers dance on the playground. Apparently, it's a Beye tradition. I may need a bit more practice next year... We ended our year by giving Mr. Ricker a handshake or hug as I gave out report cards and end of the year gifts. I had a great year, I hope that you did too!  Have a wonderful summer!
