Field Trip to the Brookfield Zoo

We had a wonderful Thursday in Room 203. We started the day with our morning activities and Star of the Week. Zach shared some cool pictures and then we rote him a friendly letter. After we were done, we got into groups and went over rules for our field trip to the Brookfield Zoo. It was a short bus ride to the zoo. We were really fortunate to have such a sunny and pretty day.  Groups  got assembled and then allowed to explore on their own in the zoo. We even got lunch by ourselves, so we could take advantage of our time. There were many places to explore: Tropic World, The Living Coast, Reptiles and Birds, The Swamp, Habitat Africa, Australia, Pachyderms, Big Cats, and more!  I hope that everyone had a great time!

At the end of our trip, we met up, took a group photo, and made our way to the bus. That took a bit of time (it was busy!), but we made it home safely. Back at Beye we wrote one thing we saw and one thing we liked in our kindergarten journal. Then Ascencion  shared her quagga zebra report before we packed up for home. We passed out awards for staying green all of May as we lined up. See you tomorrow for the Beye Olympics!

Extra thanks to our awesome parent chaperones: Ascencion's mom, Charlotte's mom and dad, Gavin's mom, Yahkid's dad, and Zach's mom and dad. Thank you so much for your help! We hope that you had fun, too!
