Visiting the Library

We had quick Wednesday in Room 203!  Our morning included reading "A is for Alligator" and practicing "A" handwriting. We also visited the library for the first time. Unfortunately Mr. Withers was out sick, but we still read a story with the substitute and checked out books for the first time with Mrs. Frost. Students will start the year checking out one book, but that may change later in the year. Be sure to return it to class by next Wednesday morning so that you can take home a new one next week!  We also started some Reading Workshop time by practicing visiting places around the room to read, work, and play with friends. Our morning concluded with PEA, snack, recess, and Spanish with Sra. Colmenero.

After lunch, we classified items into categories in math. It went very well! We also tried another Workshop area before having Second Step. Today's lesson was on focus and attention. We listened to a song, met Puppy and Snail, and played a game together. Then we cleaned up and packed up to go home.
