The Last Day of Kindergarten
We had a nice last day of Kindergarten. We started our Thursday with Nutrition outside as they set up for the fifth grade graduation. Then we took care of our morning activities for the last time and read "Miss Bindergarten Celebrates the Last Day of Kindergarten." We didn't have any work left to do, so we cleaned our desks off. We used sponges to scrub the stickers and glue off the best we could. When we were done, we watched part of "Finding Nemo." We also passed out and looked at the memory books I made. Each child has one with their name on it. Enjoy! It should be another way to help us remember our great year together. After recess, we had our awards ceremony. We passed out rewards and prizes for staying green all year, perfect attendance, PTA Reflections, Science Fair, and for completing the year in Room 2. I think that everyone enjoyed getting a prize to end the year!
After lunch, we finished watching "Finding Nemo." Then we had our final meeting on the carpet. We read "Last Day Hooray!" and talked about all that has changed since school started in August. I'm very proud of all that we've accomplished in kindergarten! Then students got their report cards (along with a note and the 100 word list) and an end of the year gift after they gave me a handshake or a hug. Have a wonderful Summer Break!
