Getting Ready for Father's Day
We had another short day in Room 2 as we near the end of kindergarten. We started with morning business and by reading "What Dads Can't Do." At our last language arts rotations of the year, students worked on Father's Day cards. We will finish them on Thursday. My groups made our secret Father's Day gifts. The other groups got choose time. After snack and recess, we packed up all our things to go home: Friday Folders, journals, emergency kits, silhouettes, animals report and diorama projects, and more. There was a lot of stuff! Then we watched a few more minutes of Toy Story before lunch.
After lunch, we watched the rest of Toy Story. Then Steve's mom stopped by with fruit, cake, and juice to celebrate Steve's birthday. His birthday is actually on June 9th, but we decided it would be nicer to sing and have cake now before school lets out for the summer. Then Steve gave everyone a gift as we got our things and lined up for home.
Don't forget to wear class t-shirts tomorrow!
