Lock Down

We had a surprise this afternoon, a lock down. Apparently, there was police activity four blocks east of us and the LAPD asked us to lock down the school. Students stayed in a safe place in the room, then quietly relaxed, finished their Valentine's Day art, or read for the remainder of the 40 minutes. Students stayed calm and, most importantly, safe. It was a new and confusing time, but students acted (and reacted) well.
